Consider hosting a “Street Rally” to display signs for these important issues. It’s a great grassroots way to raise awareness and make your voice heard!
- Secure a location- intersection with heavy traffic or outside a government building (confirm with local officials you are allowed to wave signs at this location).
- Make signs with short easy to read message
- Advertise your event on social media
- Don’t worry how many will show up, it only takes one sign to educate many people
- Consider having multiple events (example every Saturday, up until election day)
- Invite the press (TV, radio, newspapers) to attend the “Street Rally” event
- Day before rally send email reminders to your friends or groups
