Uniting NYS is unifying New Yorkers across the state to #TakeBackNY by organizing new voter registration and current voter pledge drives and getting citizens to act by getting out the vote in the 2026 election. It is time to #TakeBackNY from the radical leadership in Albany. Recently, we set up a table to register and educate voters at the York-Penn Sportsman Show at the Seneca Allegany Casino Events Center in Salamanca, NY. It was a huge success!
CCRW (a grassroots group in Chautauqua County) along with Uniting NYS volunteers manned the table over the two-day event. Our “Stop Quarantine Kathy” signs at our table gave us a ton of attention! This opened the door for great conversations, such as “are you registered to vote?” Many said “yes!” Then we reminded people to make sure they get out to vote in 2026. We got a lot of replies such as “they sure will!” or “definitely!”
Several young guys in their twenties admitted they were not registered and realized that they needed to be in order to change the direction of our state. One young gentleman had his little girl in his arms, and we believe he was convicted about not being registered. When we asked him if he was registered, he said, “he needed to be registered.” Then he took the voter registration form and so did his friend. We explained what to do and how to turn it in. We will definitely be following up on them. As a father, we believe he realized his vote is so important for his daughter’s future.
We talked to so many people who have been frustrated with the things that are happening with the state. Two correction officers stopped by our table. They were badly beaten by inmates and have not been treated well by our radical leadership. They have a true disdain for what is happening in Albany.
Uniting NYS volunteers explained to visitors that came to our table, that Uniting NYS is working with grassroots groups all across the state, even in the heavy blue areas to make sure everyone is registered to vote and that they get out to vote in 2026. Volunteers explained that Uniting NYS is fighting for their rights by defeating Quarantine camps, saving girls’ sports, preserving parental rights, and so much more! Many people were encouraged and signed up for our newsletter, so they could follow us and get involved.
The two-day event in Salamanca helped us grow our reach and gathered like-minded people to register to vote and “get out the vote.” Join our effort to #TakeBackNY.
