Now that Prop 1 (the “so-called equal rights amendment”) has been voted for by the people of NYS and has been put into the New York State Constitution, we will see many harmful consequences. Coupled with the NYS Legislators introducing many Democrat-sponsored bills that support Prop 1 this 2025 Legislative Session, we will lose more of our constitutional rights!
Below is a list of Prop 1 Bills being proposed for the 2025 Legislative Session. Contact your state senator and assemblyman and tell them to vote “NO” on these bills.

- S653 (Liz Krueger-Democrat)/A276b (Amy Paulin-Democrat): Provides treatment for sexually transmitted diseases to minors without a parent’s or guardian’s consent. Allows giving drugs and vaccines for STDs to children without parental knowledge or consent. No statutory lower age limit.
- A3325 (Jeffery Dinowitz-Democrat)/ S8113 (James Skoufis-Democrat): Limits exemptions from immunization requirements by local governments and private entities to medical exemptions; repeals religious exemptions for certain post-secondary students.
- S3200 (Brad Hoylman-Democrat)/A1811(Jeffery Dinowitz-Democrat):Â Mandatory flu shots for all K-12 students in New York State.
- S1570 (Liz Kreuger-Democrat)/NSA: Permits any child who is at least fourteen years of age to have administered to himself or herself certain immunizations required or recommended by law.
- S449 (Brad Hoylman-Sigal-Democrat)/NSA: Requires the board of education and the trustees or sole trustee of every school district to establish policies and procedures regarding the treatment of transgender or gender non-conforming students.

- A3315 (Harry Bronson-Democrat)/NSA: Relates to culturally responsive lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender education standards.
- A4091 (Steve Stern-Democrat)/ S1408 (John Liu-Democrat): Establishes an educational program related to the prevention of anti-Semitism, Islamophobia bias and discrimination based on religion, race, sexual orientation or gender identity or expression.

- S1049 (Julia Salazar-Democrat)/A5478 (Emily Gallagher Democrat): Enacts the “gender identity respect, dignity and safety act”; relates to the treatment and placement of incarcerated individuals based upon gender identity; requires that incarcerated individuals in state and local correctional facilities who have a gender identity different from their assigned sex at birth be addressed and have access to commissary items, clothing and other materials that are consistent with the person’s gender identity; establishes that incarcerated individuals shall be presumptively placed in a correctional facility with persons of the gender that most closely aligns with such person’s self-attested gender identity unless the person opts out of such placement. Read more about this awful bill HERE.
- S3279 (Samra Brouk-Democrat)/A4319 (Emily Gallagher Democrat): Includes correctional facilities and local correctional facilities as publicly assisted housing accommodations for purposes of the division of human rights.
- S2409 (Luis R. SepĂşlveda-Democrat)/NSA: Relates to the housing of transgender or intersex incarcerated individuals; authorizes the sheriff to assign a transgender or intersex incarcerated individual to any facility housing unit which shall ensure the incarcerated individual’s health and safety.
- S2444 (Nathalia Fernandez-Democrat)/NSA: Makes certain terms gender neutral in provisions regarding the right to breast feed.

- A1503 (Linda Rosenthal-Democrat)/S958 (Brian Kavanagh-Democrat): Relates to making certain housing programs available regardless of immigration status; provides that local social services districts in a city with a population of five million or more shall be permitted to offer certain housing programs to individuals or families who would be eligible but for a federal law restricting eligibility based on immigration.
- A176 (Catalina Cruz-Democrat)/NSA: Allows for state agencies, municipalities, and authorities to provide state or local public benefits regardless of immigration status.
- A278 (Catalina Cruz -Democrat)/NSA: Enacts the “New York emergency expedited temporary work permit act” to allow asylum seekers to apply for and be granted temporary work permits while their federal immigration status is being determined.

- A1704 (Linda Rosenthal-Democrat)/S72 (Brian Kavanagh-Democrat): Relates to establishing the housing access voucher program; provides that the commissioner of the division of housing and community renewal shall implement a program of rental assistance in the form of housing vouchers for eligible individuals and families who are homeless or who face an imminent loss of housing; provides that the commissioner shall designate housing access voucher local administrators in the state to administer the program.
